Has good oxidation resistance at high temperatures due to its high content of Chromium. The alloy is widely used for welding heat resistant austenitic steels of the 25% Chromium and 20% Nickel types and therefore sensitive to hot cracking. Common applications are industrial furnaces and boiler parts as well as heat exchangers.
